Listed size: 6-4.5 318.

Early enrollee

Brings to Clemson: 247Sports gave a promising assessment of him this spring: “A former basketball player that has been able to really rework his body and cut some bad weight. Has long arms and what appears to be a good reach given his frame. Effective with his punch. Surprisingly light on his feet. Can move laterally. Will engage in contact and finish blocks. Pretty technically sound, but needs to improve pad level. Also could get more violent at times. One of the more promising offensive linemen to come out of South Florida in recent cycles.”

Depth chart fit: Clemson’s young depth chart on the O-line will get a year older and Tate will have a chance to plug in for depth if he can use the offseason well.

Robbie Caldwell on Tate: "Big man, great person, good student...Can play tackle or guard. Just very athletic. And very fun to be around and very mature. He's one you're going to enjoy watch and he loves to finish blocks."
